Technical Product Specialist (Plumbing & Electrical)
Location: Leyland
Salary: £££ (Competitive & Negotiable Based on Experience)
The Role: Hang up the tool belt, not the expertise.
At Victorian Plumbing, we’re the UK’s leading bathroom retailer because we understand that a stunning bathroom is only as good as the engineering behind the tiles. We don’t just need someone to answer phones; we need a Technical Product Specialist to be the "brain" behind our brand.
If you are a plumbing pro with a solid grasp of electrical components—someone who is tired of being under a sink but still wants their expertise to carry weight—this is your next move. No more vans, no more emergency call-outs. It’s time to use your years of site experience to ensure our products stay "best-in-class."
Your Mission: The Technical Hub
You won’t be a "cog in the machine." You will be the final word on technical integrity for our team, our suppliers, and our customers.
The Subject Matter Expert: When a query is too complex for the front line (think thermostatic imbalances or electrical shower circuitry), you step in to provide the "Aha!" moment.
Supplier Accountability: You’ll manage technical disputes and warranty claims, ensuring our suppliers meet the high standards our customers deserve.
Product Gatekeeping: Working with our Product Team, you are the "technical filter." You’ll inspect samples, test functionality, and suggest engineering improvements before a product ever hits our site.
Innovation Driver: You won’t just spot flaws; you’ll suggest the fix. Your feedback will directly influence the evolution of the Victorian Plumbing catalogue.
Are You the Perfect Fit?
We are looking for a "hybrid" specialist—someone who knows the flow of water and the flow of a circuit.
Industry Knowledge (Essential): Significant experience in the plumbing sector is a must. Whether you’re an installer or a technical specialist, your knowledge needs to be watertight.
The "Curveball" (Highly Desirable... But not essential): Experience with domestic electricals (Part P knowledge, showers, lighting, or pumps) will set you apart.
A Sharp Eye for Detail: You can spot a manufacturing flaw, a cross-thread, or a wiring issue from a mile away.
Clear Communication: You can explain complex water pressure issues or PCB board mechanics to a novice without breaking a sweat.
Problem-Solving DNA: You enjoy getting to the bottom of the "why" and finding a solution that lasts.
Why Join Victorian Plumbing?
Aside from joining a team that is constantly growing and making waves in the industry, you’ll be part of a culture that values trade expertise. We offer a competitive package and the chance to shape the technical future of the UK’s favorite bathroom brand.
