Warehouse Operative (Night Shift)
Location: Warehouse 2, Pike Law, Skelmersdale
Are you a night owl looking to get your career "in ship shape"? We are looking for hardworking and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our Skelmersdale team. This isn't just any warehouse; it is our primary Tiles distribution centre, meaning you’ll be the foundation of our customers' home renovations.
If you have the stamina to keep things moving while the rest of the UK is asleep, we have a spot for you in our "suite" of professionals.
The Pay & Shift
Hourly Rate: £13.20 per hour
Night Premium: +£1.81 per hour (additional)
The Shift: Sunday – Wednesday | 20:00 – 07:00
The Perk: Work four nights and enjoy a three-day weekend—every single week.
The Role: Keeping Operations Flowing
As a Warehouse Operative on the night shift, you are a vital part of our nocturnal cycle. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that every bath, basin, and box of tiles is handled with care and ready for early-morning dispatch.
Your nightly duties will include:
Unloading & Verifying: Checking in night-time deliveries. You’ll need a keen eye to ensure everything is "flush" and matches the paperwork.
Storage & Organisation: Placing stock in the correct locations. Precision is key here—we need our warehouse to be as organised as a perfectly tiled showroom.
Picking & Packing: Using our Warehouse Management System (WMS) to find and pack orders. You’ll ensure that even the most fragile items are wrapped securely so they don't "crack" under pressure during transit.
The Heavy Lifting: Operating manual handling equipment and PPTs (following a successful assessment) to move stock safely across the floor.
Site Pride: Keeping your workspace sparkling and "audit-ready" for the morning team. No one likes a "clogged" warehouse!
Are You the Right Fit?
We aren't looking for "bog-standard" workers. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Stamina: A good level of physical fitness. You’ll be on your feet, moving stock and staying active throughout the 10-hour shift.
Attention to Detail: Whether you’re scanning a barcode or checking a tile batch, accuracy is non-negotiable.
Reliability: A strong work ethic and the resilience to commit to a permanent night-shift pattern.
Team Spirit: The ability to work independently while being a supportive "plumber's mate" to your colleagues.
Tech Ready: Basic IT literacy to help you master our handheld scanners and WMS.
Why Join the Skelmersdale Team?
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading UK retailer in a role that is essential to our success. We provide a positive working environment, full training, and a competitive pay packet that reflects your hard work during the small hours.
Ready to splash out on a new career? Apply today and help us tile the way to a successful 2026!
