About the Role
We are seeking a sharp, driven Inventory Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at our Leyland headquarters. In this role, you will be the master of our stock universe, working shoulder-to-shoulder with Supply Chain, ICQA, and Finance Leadership teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and robust inventory controls. If you have a knack for keeping stock management precise and love turning complex data into actionable insights, this is an excellent opportunity to make a measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
Overseeing the accurate recording, valuation, and reconciliation of all inventory balances.
Partnering with the ICQA team to ensure inventory processes are robust and audit-ready.
Maintaining iron-clad controls over stock movements, adjustments, and reserves, including NRV and obsolescence provisions.
Supporting product costing activities and financial modelling to maintain market competitiveness.
Collaborating with Commercial Finance to align inventory projections with the broader financial roadmap.
What We Are Looking For
Professional Qualification: Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
Industry Experience: Strong, hands-on background in retail or commercial inventory management.
Analytical Expertise: Proven capability in inventory planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Communication Skills: Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance teams.
Operational Drive: Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced corporate environment.

This role is based in our Leyland HQ for 5 Days per week – 37.5 Hours per week
